Aspects of Love is a musical in two acts, with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, based on the novel by David Garnett. The show tells the story of passion, love, life and loss across three generations of a family and their artistic companions, against a background of 1940’s France and Italy. The young Englishman Alex falls hopelessly in love with the ambitious actress Rose. He introduces her to his flamboyant uncle George, whose unconventional and artistic character has a dramatic effect on the triangular relationship. The show was first produced at the Prince of Wales Theatre in London in April 1989, where it ran for 1,325 performances before finally closing in June 1992.
